I'm interested in the 'six degrees of separation' theory. It postulates that any person on the planet can be connected to another by a series of acquaintances, using no more than five intermediaries. So, where is the person(s) I know or am connected to, who know or are connected to the right people who will read my books and make movies from them? LOL. well, sort of. Mostly, I'm really hoping that day come while I'm young enough to enjoy it- or while I'm still alive!
My books have plots that center around interesting, and sometimes strange, twists of fate, with characters written from the depths of my psychiatric professional knowledge. I like to take some twists and turns and keep the reader guessing, and I'm often told that someone stayed up late turning the pages, which I love to hear, though the credit goes to the characters who tell me the story. That's my secret. I get the idea, do a lot of research into the corresponding subjects for authenticity, decide what kind of person would do those things or what kind of pressures it would take to mold them that way, and then I create the characters. They are totally real to me at that point. They say and do what makes sense to them, and I write it all down. They have taken me down some very entertaining roads.
I think that when my 'six degrees of separation' person reads my books, I'm going to have a great day. So, who out there might be that person?
